There's millions and millions of dollars involved, and people try to get away with things they don't need to because they're already doing okay. We find these kinds of situations. I've represented hospital administrators and have handled cases in Houston, Dallas, Florida, and Michigan, where individuals have been accused of health care fraud.

You can't bill Medicare for providing services while you're out of the country on vacation—that's a no-brainer. But still, people get blinded by the tremendous remuneration they receive from Medicare. They lose their moral compass and find themselves in a situation where their weakness led them to make poor choices. Unfortunately, they end up losing their careers and everything they worked so hard for.
